Better/more entertaining than whimsical wood food
Our kids - a two and a half year old and one year old love these food pieces. At first I avoided plastic play food, but these are just so much more realistic and the kids seem to like that more. The plastic is a nice quality and the items definitely don’t feel cheaply made. The kids play with these a lot and have a lot of fun with imaginative play. They are a nice size and I will be buying more to build out their collection.

Great deal on an excellent product
These are incredible quality! I've shopped for play food for months and these are my favorite. I made a grocery store stand for my kids & these are the perfect addition. The food pieces are either hard plastic or flexible and thick rubbery... for example the salad pieces that come with the dinner basket are flexible making them seem more life like. And other pieces like the yogurt cups are hard. The sweet potato is kind of silly looking but other than we are very happy with this set. I also have the learning resources salad and fruit salad and they are the exact same as the salad pieces in these and the berries are the same as in the breakfast basket so its fun that they interchange. We have been trying out services like Blue Apron & Hello Fresh and these baskets have been fun for the kids to pretend they have their own baskets to make meals. I will definately be buying more from this brand! I almost purchased from Kohls but this 3 pack for $30 is the best deal I've found.

Love love love this play set.
The media could not be loaded. My son is absolutely in love with his toy kitchen, and I was frustrated to find that most of the toy food sets don't really resemble the foods we eat. Maybe that's not a big deal to everyone, but my son and I are both very visible eaters (see=eat), so I didn't want him building play meals with junk. These 3 baskets were perfect! Colorful, sturdy vinyl, and visually quite appealing Whole Foods. I'm attaching a pic of the "perfect meal" he built for me with mountains of fruit and some asparagus. It's silly, but the foods are realistic enough to make me crave fruits and veggies whenever I play with them, so I'm sure the same goes for my son. Almost took a month to ship, but I suspect Amazon too blame. Well worth the wait.

Great toy food!
These were absolutely WONDERFUL! There is a lot of variety, and the food looks super realistic! My son got a toy kitchen for Christmas, but it didn’t come with any food; just dishes. His Nanni bought him this set and it has worked great! As a former preschool educator, I wish I had these in my classrooms; they are much softer to play with. I’d definitely buy again!

Bought this over a year ago for my (then 2 year old) nephew to go along with his IKEA kitchen set. He still plays with the food on a daily basis, and they have held up great through pretend eating (which turns into biting) and the dog running off with something every now and again. I was looking for a kid's food set that contained foods close to his healthy diet (vs. junk/fast food), which is hard to find. Some of the foods are hard plastic, which others (like the berries) are soft plastic a squish upon my nephew trying to eat them. The baskets can nest, which makes for easy clean up. Below I listed what each basket contains: 11 Pieces of Health Breakfast: basket, banana, berry cluster, cantaloupe, grapefruit, apple, 2 eggs, mini bagel, yogurt, bowl of oatmeal with blueberries. 15 Pieces of Health Lunch: basket, bowl, turkey slice, lettuce leaf, tomato slice, 2 pretzels, 2 slices of wheat bread, yogurt, strawberry, red apple, blue berry cluster, red berry cluster and carrot. 14 Pieces of Healthy Dinner: basket, grilled chicken, grilled salmon, sweet potato, asparagus bundle, bowl, 3 pieces of lettuce, tomato slice, cucumber slice, 3 carrot crinkles.

Great set, but **NOT ALL SAFE** for kids under 3
We bought this for our 18 month old for Christmas to go along with his new play kitchen. He loves the variation of food that comes along with it, and the pieces are extremely well-made, detailed (ie realistic), and sturdy (I spent 10+ years working as an early childhood teacher and this is by far the best quality I've ever seen). HOWEVER, I do not agree with the age recommendation for this product. At least, for all of it. The majority of the food is perfect for little hands (and too big to fit in little mouths), but I was able to fill a snack-size ziploc bag with pieces that - by any safety guidelines - are easily considered a choking hazard. (The best rule of thumb is: If it can fit inside a toilet paper/paper towel tube, it is NOT SAFE). If you have a child who has grown out of the mouthing phase, great. But even then, toddlers are still SO unpredictable and in my opinion, better safe than sorry (ex: My little guy has "pretend eaten" a lot of the bigger pieces as he plays, and has shoved it so forcefully into his mouth, out of sheer enthusiasm, that if it'd been one of the smaller pieces I'm convinced they wouldn't gone right down his throat.) Again, this is a REALLY great set (and perfectly acceptable in it's entirety for older kids). If you're considering purchasing it for a child less than preschool age, I'd still say do it. It's the best quality you're going to find, hands down. But be sure to thoroughly weed out the smaller bits (the ones that can easily slide all the way, totally unencumbered, down the length of a paper towel tube). To save you the trouble, those pieces are: CARROT SLICES RASPBERRIES BLUEBERRIES POTATO CHIPS (I don't believe those were included in this particular set but were in another learning resources food bundle we bought as well) And, to be extra cautious, I removed the following (they take a bit more effort to push through but could potentially become wedged in the upper airway): CUCUMBER SLICES WHOLE CARROT CHOCOLATE PRETZELS WHOLE STRAWBERRY Overall, would recommend! Just be better safe than sorry!

The best on the market!
Learning Resources is my new obsession!! They have the highest quality play food I’ve ever seen and will only be buying from them for my daughters play kitchen! We also have some of their other enriching toys and my girl LOVES them, as do I!! They’re pricey but so so worth it!
