A nice lightweight cloak, clasp could be better/more authentic-looking
This item was kindly provided free of charge for testing in conjunction with the Vine programme. The cloak is of a nice, lightweight design and comes in a reusable ziplock bag. The fabric is a comfortable velvety material (made of 100% polyester - not linen as described!). It is relatively thin (hence lightweight and cool) but without feeling flimsy. As an indication of the size of the cloak, I am nearly 2 m tall and it comes down exactly to my knees (the model in the illustration is clearly shorter than me!). The colour is more or less Lincoln green, i.e. it would fit in nicely with a Robin Hood theme, or would be equally at home on a hobbit. The hood is large and can either be thrown back, worn high on the head or pulled forward to conceal head and face. While I like this cloak very much, the one weak spot is the clasp at the neck. Firstly, the hinged ring doesn't, to my mind at least, seem to have an authentic mediaeval/renaissance feel to it; secondly, when opening the ring (essentially by twisting it), I am constantly wondering whether the hinge is going to resist the strain. To summarize: recommended, but worth investing a couple of euros in a decent cloak clasp

I confess I ordered this on a bit of a whim. Having never really taken to any kind of fancy dress, a cape seemed like a cool idea at the time. On arrival, it is folded up in a flat box and, once unfurled, it hangs quite nicely but needs pressing or steaming to remove the creases from storage. It has a spring ring clasp at the neck, so can easily be separated for the flourish of throwing it around your shoulders rather than over the head like I initially went with. Once there and given a bit of adjustment, it has a reasonable length for me as a 6ft tall individual. The hood is pretty cavernous, for that mysterious can’t see where you’re going kind of coverage. The material is not very thick, maybe akin to thin curtains, and I would say is better suited to casual fancy dress applications rather than anything more established like LARPing or re-enactments, if that is your thing, as it does not have the look or feel of authenticity for that. Which is fair, for the price point and how it is advertised. I went for the green, and it is a nice dark shade. The material is soft to the touch, almost velvety, despite the lack of substance. In summary, it’s exactly what I ordered, and nothing more,

Great fun for dressing up.
This Renaissance hooded cape is made from a forest green coloured polyester. The material is soft and has a thin velvet quality. It arrived in a flat box and was very creased, but slightly dampening and careful ironing on a low setting, got the creases out. There is plenty of material and length for a tall person. It has a spring ring clasp at the neck, but also fits over your head easily without opening it. The hood is large. It is all well stitched. This is perfect for Halloween dressing up and is a lot of fun. I have machine washed at 30 degrees and then air dried on a hanger, and it took the washing process well. For the price this is a great cape for dressing up.

Not same as advertised
Returning it today. The fabric is extremely shiny even though the picture looks like a dull wool fabric. Not suitable from a disguise or medieval perspective.

Könnte auch ein Robin Hood Mantel sein
Für Halloween stellen wir uns unser eigenes Piraten Outfit zusammen. Dafür auch nun dieser Artikel benötigt. Der Mantel hat ein schönes dunkles Grün. Ohne Verarbeitungsfehler. Er sieht echt hochwertiger aus, wie gedacht. Nach dem Auspacken riecht er etwas chemisch. Das dünstet jedoch gut nach ein, zwei Tagen aus. In Summe bin ich jedoch sehr zufrieden und werde mit den Utensilien mein Outfit pimpen.
