Diese Maske wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail und ziemlich rassegetreu modelliert und – was nicht immer selbstverständlich ist – in ebensolcher Qualität bemalt. Die „Glas“augen (Acryl?) geben dem Gesicht zusätzlich einen lebensechten Ausdruck und auch die Größe des Kopfes ist schön authentisch. Wer hier keinen DSH erkennt, ist selber schuld. Für Theateraufführungen, Rollenspiele, Umzüge, als Party-Gag etc. ist die Maske perfekt geeignet. Auch am Einlass zu Veranstaltungen auf dem Hundeplatz, bei Faschings- und Weihnachtsfeiern unter Hundeleuten oder als Partner auf Erinnerungsfotos und Selfies von Ausstellungen wird man damit garantiert einen Volltreffer landen. Ich bin dennoch froh, dass ich es nicht bin, der diese Maske tragen muss. Da ich ziemlich klaustrophobisch veranlagt bin, würde ich sicher irgendwann in diesem engen Gummiding mit eingeschränkter Sicht und Luftzufuhr Panik bekommen. Ebenso stört mich der Gummigeruch, aber hier hat man eine gute Chance, dass der mit der Zeit verfliegt. Ungeachtet dessen vergebe ich für diesen gelungenen Artikel volle Sternchenzahl. Zwischen den Einsätzen könnte man die Maske auch gut über ein Plüschtier in passender Farbe und Größe ziehen und den Burschen als Deko nutzen. Ich denke, dass diese Art der Lagerung auch für die Maske besser ist als eine flache deformierte Aufbewahrung in der Schublade.

Great fun but it has domed eyes glued on, so you can't see anything!
Really surprisingly good quality for the piece. Latex masks can be hugely varied, from paper-thin and just awfully painted, to a useful thickness and beautifully haired and finished. This falls somewhere in between, being a great thickness for the price, and spray-painted very simply, but still effectively enough to get the point across. At ten paces it’s very effective, and even close-up it’s good enough to be funn and raise a few incredulous laughs. Oddly, the only thing I’d pull this one up on is that there are no eye holes at all. The eyes in this case are curved resin, and flat on the back and glued in place over the eye holes. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great quality, and really help to make the mask pop, but they also make this a mask that you couldn’t wear to a party or similar, as you can’t leave it in place. If you want to move, drink (through a straw) or…well, anything, you need to be able to see what you’re doing. With this mask you can’t. You can maybe get a few glimpses through the mouth hole (you can certainly breathe well through it, thank goodness!), but you’re going to walk into a lot of door frames and trip up a lot of steps. I guess you’d be the talk of the party, but for all the wrong reasons ;P So this is a mask to pull on for a few minutes when you want to get a laugh, and for that, it’s great. For a penny less than £20 it’s well made, reasonably painted, and great fun.

Great mask but it scared our 2 Labradors, good size and ideal for the party scene
Surprisingly realistic and hilarious in equal measure, this German Shepherd dog mask from BEJOYFMY is a proper head-turner. The detailing on the face—especially the ears and colouring—is spot on, and it definitely got a few double-takes when I wore it to a fancy-dress event. It’s made from latex, so it’s got a bit of that rubbery smell out of the box, but nothing a bit of airing out won’t fix. Vision through the eye holes is decent enough for casual use, though you’re not going to want to run a marathon in it. Fit-wise, it’s snug but not tight—should work for most adult heads. Great for costume parties, pranks, or just winding up the dog. Not the most breathable thing on the planet, but that’s par for the course with full-head masks. Solid value for what it is—daft fun with a dash of uncanny realism.
