Cute doll for a not-so-cute look.
This doll is a faithful recreation of the weird dress they decided to use in the movie... The face sculpt is a brand new one in the likeness of Halle Bailey. I personally love this sculpt and think it really captures Halle’s face(even better than the Disney Store one). Ariel’s hair is saran with some twists rooted along the part line(it looks like yarn, but I’m not sure what it is). The hair is a movie-accurate reddish-brown color and is crimped down to her waist. The doll doesn’t come with a headband as depicted in the movie, so I made one from an old sweater. The dress is a light blue material that has a weird stretchy ruffle that is so painfully eighties. It has a neck ruffle and puffy sleeves made of a matching blue tulle. The corset part is a blue satin-like material. Overall, for a budget doll it is very movie-accurate. Although I am sad that these aren’t the lace-up boots, I do like these sandals. They’re a brown plastic and the sculpt is very detailed. Ariel has the basic 5 points of articulation: head, shoulders, and hips So cute and definitely worth the money!

A very beautiful doll that looks just like the actress
This is one of the most beautiful dolls I’ve ever owned. Her face captures Halle Bailey’s likeness perfectly. Her hair is so soft long and beautiful for a child to brush and style. Although she has no articulation or the pink headband from the movie, her beautiful face sculpt and hair make up for those flaws. The dress is also pretty good quality despite being a budget doll. The the sleeves have an elastic band at the bottom for you to push up or down to make it look more like the dress in the movie.

Beautiful Little Mermaid Doll!
Absolutely in love with the Mattel versions of the live action Little Mermaid dolls! They did an amazing job in the face sculpt! I haven’t been able to put this doll down since purchasing her! Her hair is soft and she has adorable twists in her hair just like in the movie! She has the basic play line articulation but I don’t mind. Her dress has no printed on fabric, the crinkle pattern in her dress is an actual crinkle pattern! Love that Mattel went all out and didn’t do printed on! She worth the money in my opinion! Great for collectors or a little one who is throughly obsessed with The Little Mermaid!

I purchased it for the premier of the little mermaid for my twins and daughter. It was a part of a movie gift. They loved it and she is cute!

Perfect likeness, but the dress fits weird...
This doll itself is gorgeous, being the perfect likeness of Ariel from the live action movie. I think Mattel did even better than Disney in capturing the actress's appearance for this. However, the problem arises when it comes to the outfit. While the dress looks just like the one in the movie too, it fits really oddly on the doll. It barely closes in the back and feels like it's about to rip because it's so tight on the doll--it's almost like this was made for a different doll and awkwardly fit onto the Ariel Barbie, rather than actually being meant for her. I could see a kid accidentally ripping it if they try to re-dress Ariel at any point. Beautiful doll but they needed quality control on the dress fit.

Lovely Ariel
I been have been loving the Little Mermaid dolls mattel has been making this doll is no different she's very pretty again think she has a very cute resemblance to actress Halle Bailey I love soft makeup they choose her blue dress is so cute the material looks a bit low quality but for the price of the doll can't complain too much overall she's amazing I'd recommend her
