Happy Granddaughter = happy Grandma
My Granddaughter turned 1 and I wanted to get her something really special for her birthday. I didn't want to be the lame Grandma that bought her clothes only. Her Dad, my son, loved Mega Bloks and Legos as a kid. He lived to play with them. So I thought his daughter might like them as well. She received several toys at her birthday party. But she kept coming back to this set of Mega Bloks because she loved the music and lights from it. Her little chubby fingers explored every nook and cranny on the toy. The blocks were easy for her to pick up. She was dancing to the music it played. When it lit up she giggled every time. I enjoyed sitting on the floor and playing with her. The sparkle in her eyes reminded me of my son's when I gave him his first set of Mega Bloks way back when. This was the perfect gift for my sweet Granddaughter. Knowing now that she likes them I will be ordering more blocks from this seller as she grows up. I went to this seller's storefront here on Amazon and they have a ton of wonderful sets of these blocks and the prices are great. I'm really happy with these Mega Bloks and ecstatic that my Granddaughter took to them and had so much fun playing with them,. These get a very, very definite yes from me.

RECOMMENDATION: Thumbs up: These are larger blocks that are safe for smaller kids to play with THE GOOD: 1. These are compatible with all of the other Mega Bloks toys from Fisher Price, so if you already have some these bloks will interconnect with those. 2. This set comes with a fair amount of blocks (see picture) including some that are specifically designed to be used on the lighted block mounts on the main toy. 3. The main toy has a button that plays various tunes and lights up the two block mounts in various combinations and with various tunes. It cycles through a set of these by hitting the red button multiple times. 4. It has a volume switch so that you can set it to soft or loud, but even the loud is really not that loud (thankfully). 5. Kid tested and approved in our house. THE BAD: 1. The main toy needs 3xAAA batteries but they are included. You do need a screwdriver to get in and out of the battery compartment underneath the toy.

Cute, Thematic, Limited Sounds
The media could not be loaded. This MEGA BLOKS Fisher-Price Rise & Snooze Night Light is rated for toddlers ages 1 - 3 meets my expectations. It's the same Fisher-Price quality that we've known for many years. Our baby loves the sounds. It plays several songs and does a few different sound effects. The buttons on the unit are large and easy for a toddler to play with. The 30 blocks fit together like over-sized Legos. The blocks can light up when you place them on a lighted peg on the night light base. There are some cute character blocks: owl, sun, moon, tree, fox. There are also some "routine" blocks that have pictures associated with day or night routines such as a cereal bowl, bath, or toothbrush. And there are some building blocks that include clouds and a tree. A toddler-friendly toggle switch on the front selects between daytime and nighttime sounds. Volume level is not adjustable but it doesn't seem too soft or tool loud. The light can be manually turned off by a small switch on the back. However, the pictures are quite small and drawn with thin lines. I'm not sure a baby will even notice these pictures.

Super cute set of blocks, perfect size, doesn’t pose a huge choking hazard. Perfect fun for our little ones and I love the colors. Perfect for building and being creative.

Block for babies
The media could not be loaded. This Mega Block toy is a 2-in-1. Not only is it a building toy it also is a night light! This is easy to assemble especially for tiny fingers and it will yield hours of fun. These blocks are made well and sturdy and durable. This would make an amazing gift, too! I highly recommend this.

Mia figlia di 3 anni lo adora, carino sia per luce notturna (le melodie durano circa 10 minuti) ha una lucina molto soft. Carini anche i blocchi con gli obbiettivi della giornata.

Great toy!
Got this around 1 year old, he is 17 months now, still loves it. Dances to the music, and sometimes use it for soothing bedtime songs to wind down before bed. Good purchase.
