I wore this paint for three hours in the pouring rain and it didn't smudge. Wonderful quality paint, spreads well, is pretty greasy and shiny so you will need to set it with some kind of powder for it to not wipe off. I used cornstarch to set it for the aforementioned rainy event, which did all wash off, leaving the paint tacky in some places, but as long as I didn't touch my face I was fine. This comes off easiest with some sort of oil, I've used jojoba oil and vaseline and both have worked amazing. The makeup does not stain your skin, and from what I can tell doesn't cause breakouts either, even with longtime wear. The colors are wonderful but do have a tendency to blend, even if you set the paint underneath, so do watch out for that. The paint tins are smaller than I thought they'd be, about the size of a dollar coin, but the paint does go a long way for just a little bit, it's very pigmented. A wonderful set of paint, mehron really lives up to the hype!

Over five years old. Not safe
Glad I didn’t use this product on my son, and sent it straight back, as it arrived open with paints exposed and a lot of money for £21.00 for just three paints. Manufacturer advised not to use and confirmed this product is more than five years old!! Product arrived open and didn’t look professional.

Excellent, but Heads Up if You Aren't Used to Oil-Based Face Paint
I bought this for Halloween and it worked perfectly. I wanted to get a brand I that I knew had good reviews, rather than the weird generic brands that you can find in department stores. There is more paint in it than I expected- I painted my entire face and neck twice, and used less than 1/4 of the paint per color. The application sponge is useless, so know that you're going to need paint brushes in order to apply it effectively. Colors are thick, vibrant, and glossy, even the white. The only thing to be aware of is that this is an oil based grease paint, just like it says in the description. If you are unfamiliar with face paints, this means that it will never dry like actual paint. The bonus is that the colors stay shiny and don't crack and flake off like standard face paint does. It is also supposed to be better for your skin (part of the reason I went with it), sort of like a thick tinted moisturizer. But if you drag your finger through it, even hours later, it will smudge. There are sealers you can buy to help "set" the paint, but I sprayed hairspray over everything and that worked well enough for a one-time thing. The makeup lasted through 6+ hours of romping around, eating, and talking on a windy night with only minor smudging around the edges from my hair. I have semi-sensitive skin and this went on smoothly, was comfortable to wear for hours, washed off easily, and didn't result in any breakouts. I will be using this again!
