Another Melissa and Doug Quality Toy
I got my 2 yr old Grandson his dream kitchen (which was the Melissa and Doug wooden one) and I wanted good quality accessories to go with it. We've had cheap plastic fruits before, and they got beat up, dented in and I didn't want those things again. I decided to go for wooden toys this time. Yes, they are a touch more expensive as you can get 100-piece plastic toys for extremely cheap nowadays and get like 4 wooden toys for almost twice as much, but they are well worth it in the long run. The quality is a nice thick wood. Yes, the paint design was also just perfect considering that this toy can withstand a toddler playing with it and will last much longer than cheap plastic. It is well worth the extra money for a quality toy. I have bought Melissa and Doug products before and these toys will last my Grandchildren, and I can even see it lasting longer than that if I can help take care of them. It's pricey compared to cheap plastic, but well worth it because we all know how gentle toddlers are.

GOOD QUALITY AFTER YEARS OF ABUSE
I purchased this set LONG AGO ,i don't even remember (maybe when my son was 2 and it has held up amazingly well. I did not have the problem a few others seemed to have with the paint rubbing off and my kid abused the set as much as possible (including putting real ingredients from the fridge in them). The mitt still looks brand new (and it has gone through the laundry multiple times and shows no wear). It's amazingly fun for the kids, my son is now 4 and still enjoy it and the neighbor kids from ages 1-10 all want to play with it. I have a play kitchen as well and I cannot say how much fun the kids have with their set watching me cook while they can play cook (or how much I love that it keeps them from getting underfoot on hectic nights making a last minute meal). When my children outgrow them I will absolutely be passing them on, and frankly I think they'll still be going strong.

Fun Pots for the Cute Chef
I bought these pots for my daughter's second birthday to complete her M&D kitchen. They look durable and very well made and matches well with the kitchenette. She has not used much of it bacause right now she is into baking the cookie set. I am so pleased about buying the Melissa and Doug Cook's Corner Wooden Kitchen. For seventy five it's a great deal. It maybe difficult to put together but very much worth it. Even with an electric screw driver I assembled it in two hours - too many screws and about fourteen steps to assemble. In the end all the hard work is nothing compared to that beautiful smile on my daughter's face (she waited patiently until late night for me to put it together). The M&D accessories and food sets are a bit expensive but you can find dollar ones at the dollar bins at target if you are on a budget. But I say at least buy the cookie set of D&G and these pretty pots.

Very durable!
This is a great set of play pots and pans. They have been flung on the hardwood floor many times and still look good as new. The wooden utensils that come with the pans are perfect for small hands. I highly recommend and they would make a great gift for a little one in your life!

Another awesome toy by M&D
Melissa & Doug always has great quality toys in my experience, and this is another one. We have a KidKraft retro kitchen (which is a bit on the small side, I think) in blue, and the scale of these pots and pans is perfect for it. Our daughter is still on the young side, but already enjoys "cooking," so we got these instead of metal (which are what the KidKraft matching set is) or plastic pots and pans because they quite frankly look better and seemed higher quality. One problem right now is that they are wooden, so on the heavy side. Our daughter drops it often, and if she were to drop it on her toe (or ours...!), it would hurt! But she hasn't yet, just on the floor, and they have so far been taking the beatings quite well. When she's older, dropping them *shouldn't* be a problem. Love the wooden utensils and oven mitt that come with the set, too!

Bad Finishing and Quality
I always though Melissa & Doug has always good product quality and control, apparently not. The one I have received has so many defects and colour defect. The picture does not do it justice, it is worst if you see it physically. The only good thing about buying from Amazon is that delivery is super fast from Amazon.

Brilliant little set consisting of a frying pan, saucepan with lid, pot with lid, 2 utensils and an oven glove. My little boy loves it and it matches his kitchen too!
