Excellent product from a reputable company!!
The media could not be loaded. I was apprehensive about selecting this vending machine playset, however it comes from a reputable name brand company; so I leapt in with some faith. And it did not disappoint. Our daughter is going to love it. Judging by the photos, I thought this was a simple toy where the buttons (1,2,3) were removable blocks and you grabbed the beauty products by hand. It’s actually more intricate than that. The toy comes with 3 coins (1,2,3) which are color coded and sized to only fit their slots. The child inserts the coin which is then held in place until they select one of the numbers. The beauty product is dispensed and the coin drops into a tray at the bottom. It’s also huge! And being Melissa & Doug it has a long lasting durable quality. I would absolutely buy this again. We have several M&D products for our daughter - this will be by far the most intricate and hopefully fun one. Excellent gift for any child and great value for what comes in the box. It technically functions but has notable problems, durability concerns, or is overpriced for what you get. ⭐ (1 star) – Does not perform its basic job, arrived defective, broke immediately, or is so badly designed that I would not recommend buying it even at a discount. Built for Fun. Built to Last.
The Melissa and Doug brand has often impressed me with their build quality relative to the cost of the toy itself and this time it was no different. Toys simply aren’t built like this anymore unless you pay an absurd amount of money; so the value you receive for this is very good. The vending machine aspect was fun and intuitive to my daughter once she realized how it worked. The intuitive function of the toy led to her being joyed for hours and hours. The design is child appropriate and very cute. The weight of the toy is quite a bit, my daughter struggled to lift it by herself, so just note that it’s not a half pound of plastic garbage! All in all, the toy is great and the boxes it was shipped in arrived without damage, all in just two days. Very happy consumer and look forward to more Melissa and Doug products in the future!

Cute Set with Great Play Value, but a Bit Frustrating
This little play beauty vending machine is very cute and nicely made, just as you’d expect from the Melissa & Doug brand. The pieces are sturdy and high quality, with a mix of durable plastic and painted wood. My toddler really enjoys the color matching, and I love that she gets so much fine-motor practice simply by playing with it. Opening the doors, inserting the coins and card, and flipping the switch to get the coins back all keep her engaged. We both enjoy the dramatic play aspect as well. The biggest issue is that the items do not stay in place once you load them in. Even the slightest movement makes them fall off, which can be frustrating, especially for a toddler. We usually have to keep it pushed against a wall while she plays, which ends up limiting the versatility of the toy. Overall, it is a great play set with lots of value, but the completely unsecured pieces keep it from being perfect.

This Sort, Stock, Select Beauty Kiosk Vending Machine is another fantastic addition to our Melissa & Doug collection and easily earns 5 stars. As always, you can rely on this brand for the best quality! The construction is incredibly sturdy wood and is FSC Certified, which gives me confidence in its durability and sustainability. The attention to detail in the pretend "makeup" and accessories (like the blush, lipstick, and brush) is excellent, looking realistic without being messy or cheaply made. The interactive vending machine feature is the highlight. It encourages imaginative play and teaches valuable skills: kids learn sorting as they stock the items by shape, sequencing as they put the coin in, and cause-and-effect as they twist the knob to get the item. It's a perfect blend of retail role-play and fine motor skill development. If you're looking for a high-quality, engaging, and long-lasting pretend play toy, Melissa & Doug never disappoints!

My daughter will love it!
This is an amazing gift idea! The wooden structure is so strong and heavy and will be perfect as she grows and gets rougher as she plays. The set up of this vending machine is amazing and is super easy to play with and open and close so no hurt fingers around here. The height is super cute and it will be safe I think on a toy shelf or even kids table! My toddler is going to love playing with her “money” that comes with it and then “paying” for it all by herself and choosing her “big girl makeup” and getting to play with hat makeup! It is so cute and girly and I know every little girl will squeal their head off seeing this open up in a present for Christmas or a birthday or any day! Melissa and Doug is always so amazing and I’m so excited for her.
