EXCELLENT, challenging puzzle! Really glad we got it!
Well, for as many puzzles as my husband and I have put together, one would think this one would be a "piece of cake". It was not. It was very challenging, and took us about 4 times longer to assemble than most other puzzles with 1000 pieces. Some of the colors are vivid, which made it easy to find their place - BUT - some of the reds and orange pieces look the same - depending on the lighting situation. LOTS of the other pieces are very difficult to place, as the shades and hues of the mushrooms depicted are so subtle. We thoroughly enjoyed putting this one together - all of the pieces were there, and we will most likely not dismantle it for awhile, as I want to identify a lot of them. The names are, I believe, in French - so I'll have to translate them to English. Also - don't count on the numbered pieces helping you find their places, because they are really not in any coherent, consecutive order. All in all, we loved it. Don't expect to assemble it over a weekend - it took us a few weeks, just working on it at night and a bit on Sundays. It was a difficult, satisfying puzzle, that we are glad we ordered.
