Great Set To Add To Collection!
This Brio set is a get addition to advance our ever growing wooden track collection. These tracks are made out of high quality wood and hold really well. This set has a couple of random shapes that make building a track that much more fun. I highly recommend this Brio set!

You pay for Brio and you get quality products. I still buy off-brand pieces for the track, but they are never as good as Brio.

The Value of the Puzzle Wooden Railway
Anyone who has kids who really "like" their wooden railway will need additional track beyond the basics that are provided in any starter set. This is especially true with less expensive brands, but can be an issue if parents buy a "Thomas" set that is actually not a full wooden railway in a box but is instead just an "add on" like a log loader or a mine tipple. For an interesting railroad, your kids will need LOTS of extra straight and curved sections of varying lengths and radius, but remember: that only expands the basic loop. The real fun comes with creating a wooden railway with multiple switches, crossovers ("diamonds"), inclines up to and down from bridges that can cross over your own line, and even "merging" track sections. This becomes an endless type of children's puzzle: the more pieces you have for the puzzle when you give it to your kids, the more interest they will have in playing with the wooden railway system. It holds their interest longer to have the challenges of making up various track designs. No two track designs are ever exactly alike. The reason for this long-winded review is this: you absolutely need this track Expansion Pack. You may need two or three of them. It depends on the interest of your kids. My 2 1/2 year old grandson has as much fun with building and design-building these wild intricate floor railways as my 6-year old granddaughter does. Big suggestion: the fact is that lots of kids get tired in a week of the "train table" wooden railway you gave them for Christmas because it does not have any flexibility to become something else. It is completely limited by the size of the train table. "No space" equals limited creativity. They can have this extra space just by taking the track off the table, adding the Expansion Pack (AND about 30 more straight tracks of various lengths, 30 more curve sections of the two standard radius types, and at least two sets of up and down ramp tracks WITH PIERS to carry them), and laying it all out on the floor every few days. And don't forget the short male/male and female/female transition tracks! You MUST have them, too! The wild flowering puzzle railroads your kids will create through the house will be fantastic, and the "simple" little wooden railway will be played with and used over and over for many months to come. It will make them better at doing everything, parents. Who knows? Your grand daughter might become the president of the Union Pacific. At the very least she will have fond memories of the golden days when she played with those little wooden trains. Go for it. Steve Hites, Skagway, Alaska

Great pack, but you will still need other expansion packs.
This is really great quality, as expected, and enables a lot of specialized track making. After we put this (and the BRIO Expansion Pack Intermediate ). together with our Thomas Wooden Railway and Brio pieces, we found that we were still light on male switch pieces (potentially this is because we have Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway, Tidmouth Sheds Train Station which has a lot of female pieces on the turntable. Whatever the reason, despite buying the Advanced and Intermediate Expansion Package, we also had to buy Fisher-Price Thomas the Train Railway Sure-Fit Track Pack and now we have what we need for the time being.

Brio are the best!
You can never go wrong giving a child Brio. It's one of the best toys to stimulate minds with creative designs and then fun usage of the vehicles. We now have 2 generations worth of Brio and I will always buy more!

Great for young kids!
I love these switch tracks! I bought them for my four-year-old son's brio train set and he has so much fun with them. Before we bought these we were using "V" switches that curve off to the left and right. My son (and even I) had trouble creating tracks that didn't get stuck in a loop on one half of the track. If you've ever tried building a track with only "V" switches, you'll know what I mean. My son would always get frustrated when that happened. With these switches, it is so much easier to create complex tracks that the train can go all around and not get stuck in a loop. Plus, with the ramps, it's easy to get the train off the tracks to expand the play possibilities.

Genial - Imaginación máxima
Me ha encantado este pack, anteriormente ya habíamos cogido otra ampliación más básica que nos permitió hacer circuitos más grandes, pero sin novedad. Con este pack de vías avanzadas puedes hacer circuitos realmente muy atractivos, especialmente por la variedad de piezas de cruces que incluye. Yo disfruto muchissimo haciendo los circuitos. Al niño le cuesta más montar los circuitos ahora, va más perdido, pero le ayudo un poco y luego tiene entretenimiento para rato.

Key to best layouts
It is Brio - if you already know Brio then you know that it isn't cheap, it is really high quality and it lasts for years. What this pack gives you is the ability to get beyond loops and add crossings and a level of complexity you can't get any other way without bridges. Why do you care other than your kids love trains? This pack means that you can bring the track back on itself and get an awful lot more track into a confined space. A quick google images of track layouts will give you the idea. A must have for any advanced Brio builder - children to play with it optional!
