Tricky level 3 Hanayama puzzle. Solution will make you feel foolish. Had a great time solving it.

My favorite Hanayama puzzle
I love this puzzle. It's heavy and beautiful. It just feels good in your hand. Once I understood what needed to done, it was logic that helped solve this puzzle. Now I keep it close at hand as a fidget toy. It's fun to solve over and over.

My puzzle loving Dad loved this, and it took him some time...
Ordered this for my Dad for his birthday, he always loved these old cast iron puzzles as a kid growing up.. And he loves this new one too! He's an old hand at these, but it still took him a little while to get his head around it and solve it. The construction quality is nice too, pretty metal solid metal so there's not much to go wrong here. If you have a puzzle lover in your life, give this a try!

Holy cow, this was harder than I expected!
Level 3 on a system that uses levels 1-6? I did not expect this to be as hard as it is. I tried. I tried over multiple days. I made progress. I stepped away, I came back to it. I tried different approaches. Eventually, I had to cheat. I watched a YouTube video. This is hard. Definitely challenging. I am not used to having to look up the answer on puzzles like these, I'm "the puzzle guy" for my family and social groups. I can only image how hard the harder level puzzles are. This is well made, durable, has a nice heft to it, and will likely hold up to some manhandling as people try to figure out. I appreciate a good, well made puzzle, and this qualifies. I wish I'd been able to figure it out, but it was too tough for me. Not recommended for someone who doesn't like challenging puzzles, but the manufacturer makes great puzzles, and this one is a good challenge for someone who's looking for something tough.

Great portable entertainment
I love spatial relations puzzles. And I consider myself pretty good at them. But this one has me stumped for now. I've had a couple of "breakthroughs" that I was certain would lead me to the solution, but they haven't panned out yet. Though I'm sure there is something there that needs more exploring. But this puzzle wouldn't be fun if you could just solve it right away. I thought I would figure it out quickly and then gift it to my son, expecting him to take some more time with it. But I have to figure it out first! This a really great mental challenge that is also a good, portable way to occupy yourself. This would be perfect to bring on a flight or car trip. The puzzle itself is also really well made of sturdy metal pieces. The package came with an email address to email if you really can't figure out the solution (which is nice to know is an option), but I am not at that point yet. I want to figure it out myself.

Nice quality, and has a satisfying solution (although does need a little bit of jiggling)
This has nice shiny solid pieces of metal that feel solid and high quality. It is an easy puzzle to hold. I found it to have a satisfying solution that could be seen visually, not just sensed via a lot of jiggling the pieces (which I'm not a fan of). However, to get it through the visual solution, it still did require a little bit of jiggling the pieces. NOTE: Mine looked a bit different from this product page's top image, as both rings were gold (not a black and a gold), and they were more triangular shaped, not circular rings. Some other reviewers images show what it actually looks like.
