I got a fake parrot and eye patches for a friend who had eye surgery. Yes, he has a great sense of humor. (Hi eye is ok). He put them on right away. The parrot stays up and has real feathers. They are all cheap and clearly costume quality. But awesome.

Shoulder parrot - feathers ok - beak is ugly and cheap looking.
The parrot is cheap and cheaply made. Two or three of the feathers started falling off in a couple of places when our 3-year-old was handling it and the feet also needed re-attachment with hot glue. The paint (!) on the styrofoam beak is thin and rubs off. Still - the parrot filled the basic need of being a pirate prop and more or less held together long enough to get through Halloween.

Fun Addition to Pirate Costume
Wore the pirate parrot to pirate night on a Disney cruise and it added a lot to the costume. But there are some things to know. First, attaching the parrot to your shoulder using the provided strings just isn't going to work. If you stand still, maybe. I used double-sided velcro that worked great. Second, the parrot is large. Good size for fun but it is going to take up your shoulder. Third, it is hard. Not a plush toy. Still, for a one-time event it is great fun.

Showstopper for my sons kindergarten class
For the money this is amazing. My son had an alphabet play at school where he was a Pesky Pirate with a Pet Parrot. This thing was awesome and a total showstopper with his kindergarten class. Perfect for a costume, play or prop. My son did have it completely torn apart by the end of the day, however, he’s 6 and I wasn’t looking for something sturdy. I wanted something super cheap and bought this knowing that would happen. It did it’s job and looked damn good doing it. If you are looking for something that’s going to last, bump up your price point people.

The bird
This bird is beautiful, it almost looks real ,it stands nice and tail. I love it. What I don't like is... the bird came in an perfect size box for the size of the bird but, the tail of the bird came broken, Now I have two choices, either go by Glue or either go return it ,both places are far from me in two other cities. The luau party is Thursday. maybe I'll let the grandchildren enjoy it. both places are far to return or to go get glue. Tnx

Terrible quality
I expected it to be cheap, but this was ridiculous. Made of styrofoam with barely-stuck-on craft feathers, eyes that fell off immediately, and orange paint that rubbed off after 1 hour of wear walking around at school. It wasn't even easy to wear, the direction of the string makes it go sideways and it falls off constantly. Not worth it at all, make your own instead of buying this garbage.
