Our kids love these!
We bought these for our two and three year old for Christmas and they are a hit! It took them a few days to understand how the magnets work but they caught on quickly. Some of the magnets repel and some connect so it can be a little tricky to figure out where all the magnets are and which pieces connect initially. Its probably best for children over three years old but our two year old can make objects with some guidance. The box has several pictures of fun animals and vehicles that can be made with the set that I was able to put together without instructions, just by looking at the picture. The box itself is very attractive and makes for a nice gift. They are high quality blocks and we plan on buying a larger set to add onto what we have. These pastel colors are very nice and vibrant. You can see the seams on a few of the blocks but I don't for see them coming apart so the magnets are exposed. We generally shy away from magnetic toys for our younger children because of the serious damage swallowing magnets can cause in young children but we feel these are safe. You can make plenty of fun structures and animals with this set but we feel short on blocks if there is three or four of us playing with them together. This is a wonderful starter set!

Tegu blocks are great, albeit extremely overpriced
I love these blocks and went a little overboard on buying sets when they finally went on sale. These were priced very well at this store and I really like them for my daughters. They even shipped them better than Target, who just put the box in a bag, which was subsequently bashed up by the time it got to my door. This shipper was in a box with padding so the box was still gift-worthy when I received it. The only thing I dislike about the Tegu blocks is that the longer pieces have difficult to find magnetic spots. I'd recommend a smaller set if you have younger children that won't sit still to figure out where they are. I prefer the Tegu blocks over all others I've seen people recommend as alternates because I like wooden toys. They are more durable than plastic ones where the magnets could dislodge when broken.

Great birthday gift for preschoolers
The quality of the wood is great! Does not break easily and looks like it will stand the test or time. The surface is smooth. Size of the magnet is fit for pre-schoolers. Help great with dexterity. Even older sibling enjoyed playing - especially with the wheel. Great that the box had some model images that my toddler try to re-make. Kept toddler busy for 30 mins or more.

Correct product, wrong packaging
A friend uses these blocks as decoration / figit toys on her coffee table. My one-year-old was obsessed so I decided to get a natural colored set for our house. The product itself is wonderful -- well made and fun for all ages. More than the sum of it's parts somehow? I love playing with them myself and sticking them to magnetic surfaces all over the house for my kiddo to find. Unfortunately, the set I was sent seems to have been manufacturing seconds or something. The blocks themselves are as advertised -- but they were sent in the wrong box (natural blocks in the jungle box)! If I were gifting them, I would be embarrassed to give them to someone in the incorrect packaging. Since we are keeping them for ourselves, it's not the end of the world. I just wish I had known about the incorrect packaging when I made a $100+ purchase.

Great fun!
My kids love building with these! So much better than plain blocks

Over all I am pretty disappointed
I really wanted to love this set. I was looking for magnetic blocks but that were wood and not plastic to ease my guild of all the plastic toys kids have and how much plastic that puts into the world. I was really excited when I found these and didn't mind paying extra to avoid the plastic and since I could. however, these are pretty disappointing. they really aren't sturdy and then they only have magnets on specific sides so you are pretty limited in what you can build with them. all this makes it so that my toddler gets pretty frustrated with them. I am not sure who can build this "car" and have the wheels not fall off as soon as your little toddler hands puts any pressure on them. I have tried so many different ways of putting it together (at least all the ways possible) and nothing prevents that from happening. I love the concept and idea, and they look and feel over all high quality, but functionally they just don't hit the mark.

Fun to build wacky cars
At first I wasn't sure what to think about the Tegu set because the magnets are kind of weak, and there are very limited ways that the pieces can connect together to make larger structures. But it turns out our toddler plays with this for hours and he loves it! He rarely makes structures like the ones he usually makes out of lego blocks. Instead, he's usually making some new odd looking car, pushing it around, and then dropping it on the ground so the pieces explode apart, and then building a car with a new arrangement. Here is a photo of my "daddy car special" which has an extreme wheel camber (but it races smoothly!) I recommend buying an extra set of wheels, because in our experience the wheels are what make the Tegu set the most fun.

I would build my house out of Tegu blocks if I could...
Tegu blocks are absolutely amazing. My three year old son loves this so much and can spend a long time constructing really elaborate towers, bridges, power plants, and other structures emulating the things he sees on his construction show. These things are durable, they get cleaned up relatively quickly because they're magnetic, and you can request them as gifts for birthdays and your child will be delighted to get an expanded set of materials. They're pricey, but very worth it. Just look through Amazon and see where you get the most block for your buck!

Looks great, not so easy to play with
Bought this set, the Magnatiles 115 piece Metropolis set and a basic Magformers 30 piece set. Though these look and feel the best, it’s difficult to build with even for an adult because the magnets are only at the ends and orientate one way (Magformers has flipping magnets and Magnatiles just kinda connect together). For the price there are much fewer pieces so what you can build is limited. Structures are also pretty fragile. Magnatiles make much nicer buildings for use with other toys (like as a dollhouse or garage). Magformers are cool because you can lay them out in 2D then pull the tiles up into a 3D house or ball which seems like magic to kids! They get a lot more play than the Tegu which I suppose do make pretty nursery decor.

Top notch
These magnetic blocks are the best! We have multiple sets and its so fun seeing all the cool things you can make. So many toys get thrown to the side and forgotten about ,, not these! If your looking for a new activity i highly recommend ..worth the money hands down! Plus they are high quality and durable wood!

MUY EDUCATIVO Y DIVERTIDO
Es un poco limitado en armar figuras por la disposicion de los imanes. Aun asi son muy fuertes y es extremadamente educativo. Haria falta un saco o bolsa de tela para transportalos

Happy with the Product
Bought it as a gift for my niece. She is likes it a lot and makes different types of things. Not fully magnetic like in the middle but serves the purpose. Happy with the product.
