Hape makes a nice trainset
Like Brio, these are great wooden trainsets. These have pretty decent quality control. Some pieces are a bit snug, but my son loves them. Thankfully, these are less expensive than Brio!

Good set with one flaw
Good quality and my son enjoys it, so ultimately worth the purchase. My one complaint is they make the tunnels, overpasses, and loader too low. It’s just barely high enough for the trains from this set to fit, but engines and cars from other train sets won’t fit underneath. My son plays with loader off to the side and doesn’t even use the tunnel anymore for that reason.

Disappointed...
Overall it's a nice set, but in less than a year of usage a tab on all four of the support pieces has broken off. That causes the tracks to just slide/fall off the support pieces when playing with it. My son gets so frustrated. Since the whole point of this set is for part of the track to be elevated, it makes it impossible to use the set as designed. We still mix all the other pieces into other sets, but disappointed that Hape didn't do much testing of this set. If one broke I'd understand, but for all four to break it's obviously a design issue.

Was opened when got it
Everything seems to be there but the box inside the other box was open making it look like it was a return that they shipped out to us.. which I’m not a fan of.

Grandsons love it
The grandsons absolutely loved this one. And it hooks up to another set from the same manufacturer. They were both very excited. At 5 and 2 they had fun playing with it.
