excellent quality.
I have yet to find a suitable chuck for these bits but I have just bored two holes in a 1/72 Lancaster by hasegawa. I used my forefinger and thumb to twist the drill bit. took a while but a clean hole was achieved. so less messy than punching a hole using some kind oversized needle. in that case the surrounding plastic shows all kinds of distortion due to the crude method used. but with this little bit a clean hole was achieved with absolutely no collateral damage. considering the difference in results giving this set 5 stars was a no brainer.

Punte di altissima qualità da accoppiare al trapano a mano sempre di Tamiya. Il prezzo elevato è giustificato dalla precisione e dalla robustezza del set.

Very well made and premium quality
I went with Tamiya and paid a little extra over no-name brands, because I wanted bits that will last. . The bits are very well machined. The grooves are perfectly formed and there are no visible metal burs. You can safely run your fingers across the bits without worrying about catching on tiny metal shavings or burs. . I used these bits to go at pinewood blocks without any problem. Bending was not a problem even with the finer bits as long as you didn't over-apply pressure. . Only complaint is with the case. The plastic case is absolutely flimsy. I wouldn't be too surprised if the flexible hinges break through use. And some spong or liners in the case would have been nice.

Decent price for great quality
This is actually an excessive luxury that's relatively affordable. Working as a plastic modeler who learns as he goes I can say that I've started needing these, so unless you want to drill gun barrels, bore holes for metal thruster parts, set a starting point for your modeling saw, or if you do detailed woodworking, don't get this. Having said all that, this is a nice set that gives you drill diameters of 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm (Go look up the conversion chart yourself if you need those specs in US lingo). It's all neatly assorted into individual compartments inside a small yet sturdy plastic case with a tighter-than-necessary clip that properly keeps all those tiny mawfuggas in there. They drill great, and are made with High-speed steel - which means that they have high hardness and temperature resistance, and good resistance to abrasion. It's also made by Tamiya, in case you didn't notice. As a rule of thumb, always consider Tamiya products when you shop for plastic modeling tools - they're just that good.
