The perfect cutter!
Great and strong design, delivered with 50 blades! The metallic grip keeps the blade strongly fixed. Cuts very well. Perfect for every modeller.

Very good knife - A must for plastic modelers
The smaller size blade makes it a lot more maneuverable than a size 11. The quality is high, I really like the pin vise style of securing the blade. Once screwed in it stays put, no wiggle at all, even after putting pressure while cutting. The angle of the sharp edge is 30 degrees, not as acute as the size 11, and perhaps the reason why it feels so positive when cutting. I've used it for modeling of 1/48 scale aircraft and it cuts thru styrene plastic with no issues, very clean cuts. So, with a bit of sadness I must pronounce this a better knife than the X-Acto. I say so because X-Acto is made in the US -or at least it is a US-based company. By the way, you can save a few pennies and get this same exact knife under the Olfa brand, still made in Japan, identical knife, it just won't say Tamiya on the handle. Look for model no. AK-5 (part no 22601), it has a nice yellow handle. For size 11 blades, the Olfa model is 157-B and comes with 3 types of blades, including the chisel kind, which is soooo much better than the size 17.

軽くて使い勝手の良いナイフ!
今回、銃のプラモデル(LittleArmoryシーリズ)の組立のため、このモデラーズナイフを購入しました。 まず、このナイフを手にとって思ったことは、軽いっ!と言うことでした。 それもそのはず、このナイフはグリップ部分と刃の部分を除けば、オールプラスチック製! その為、全体的な耐久性はやや犠牲となっていますが、それを補って余りある軽さが魅力であり、長時間使用していても手や手首が疲れることはありません。 ただし、上記の構造上のことから、規格外のものを無理矢理切断しようとすれば、ナイフのプラ部分がボギッ!とへし折れて大怪我に繋がる可能性があるので、使用の際は十分注意して下さい。 実際に使用してみた感想ですが、切れ味、使い勝手共に優れたものでした。 お陰で、ニッパで切る際に微妙に残ってしまったバリなどを綺麗に取り除くことが出来、満足するものを組み上げることが出来ました。 良い点 ①ナイフがプラ製のため、とても軽く扱いやすい。 ②グリップ部分が凹凸のあるアルミ製なので、手に馴染みやすく滑りづらい。 ③オルファ製の刃(日本製)が抜群の切れ味!(25枚+専用ケース入り) (専用ケースには使用済みの刃を入れる箇所付き) ④ナイフの刃部分には付属の安全キャップを被せられる為、事故が起きにくい。 注意すべき点 ①切れ味の良いナイフのため、カッターマットが必須。 ②指や身体に刃が触れたりすれば、大事故に繋がる危険性があるので、取り扱いには細心の注意を払うこと。 ③使用済みの刃を床に置いたり放置しないこと。

Perfektes Bastelmesser
Zuerst zum Messer selbst: Es ist von Olfa in Japan gefertigt, und liegt durch den vorn liegenden Schwerpunkt sehr gut und sicher in der Hand. Das Schaftmaterial fühlt sich erstaunlich stabil und für Kunststoff recht hochwertig an. Die Rändelung des metallenen Griffstückes ist perfekt ausgeführt, sehr griffig, überhaupt nicht scharfkantig und alle Linien perfekt ausgerichtet. Das Messer liegt sehr sicher auf dem Tisch, da es nicht nur dank seiner 12-Kantigen Grundform sondern auch noch zusätzlich durch einen sichernden Fortsatz an der Seite des Schaftes am Wegrollen gehindert wird. Die mitgelieferten Klingen sind anfangs extrem scharf, und bleiben lange benutzbar. Die Box in der die Klingen geliefert werden hat praktischerweise sogar noch einen integrierten Behälter zur Entsorgung der benutzten Klingen. Kurzum - Hier gibts alles was man sich von einem Bastelmesser wünschen kann.

eccellente
Dopo una prima impressione di utilizzo ero rimasto perplesso sulla qualità di questo cutter: pagato molto, plasticone , molto lungo......ma poi mi son dovuto ricredere: lame corte ed efficaci per modellare, bilanciamento perfetto ( si avvertono i pesi al suo interno), impugnatura comoda....insomma direi che ora sono soddisfatto.

Gran calidad de cuchillas.
Las cuchillas son Olfa, de muy buena calidad. El mango es de plástico. Aún así muy recomendables para el modelismo.
