Warped, bent and twisted so they are no good for anything
These plastic cutting mats are so warped and bent and twisted that they are utterly useless. They are made of the type of plastic that will never settle flat either so I can't get them level whatever I do, and because of this I cannot use them to cut paper or other materials on. I don't know how they got in this condition but I cannot recommend these at all.

Good cutting mat
This makes a good base for all sorts of cutting work. Self-healing might be a little SciFi, but basically it doesn't show small cuts easily. I do have an engraving machine which I will use on it, but I mainly got it for cutting with craft knives and such. Definitely does the job and is a good size, so suitable for large projects or small.
