Traxxas 28T 48P Pinion Gear - Well made - Provides lots of speed!
This Traxxas 28t pinion gear is made of metal and is easy to install, and it continues to withstand the punishment we gives it. Currently run in a Traxxas Bandit with a 76t spur gear, providing a rear wheel gear ratio of about 7.38:1... means a great top-end, but it takes a moment to get up there and you really have to watch motor heat closely. A few fast, long runs and then a cool down period is best. When run with an 83t spur gear, the Bandit's ratio moves to about 8.06:1 so it is a little quicker out of the gate but does not quite have the same top speed. Still fast, but you still need to watch the temperature. If you need a pinion gear like this, or even if you just want to have one as a spare in your tool box, you will not be sorry that you did. Shipping was crazy fast too. Go for it and have fun!
