Keep some just in case, unless motor upgrade then use alu.
OEM part, as it comes stock on this truck. I have this truck for couple weeks right now, it is for fun with my five years old son, we run it strictly on 50% power and only upgrade was GTR shocks. So far so good, they last, actually at this point aluminum replacement are not available anywere, we got entire set just in case. First day we start running our Teton on 100% power we broke suspension arm. It was really surprising how much faster this thing is on 100%, but one colision and arm broke. Driveshaft pop out but it is still good. I purchased new arms same night and will be replacing it when they arrive, simple exchange, only couple of screws and we are good to go. IMO no need for aluminum driveshafts unleass you get more powerfull motor, but I'm not planning that unless this one will die. Overall they are pretty good it stock set up. I just like to keep them just in case.

Work great for stock setup.
Bought these in anticipation of the stock ones breaking but they are holdong up great.

Perfect fit
This was a perfect and easy replacement for my son's Traxxas truck. It was extremely easy to replace. Just removed the wheel and tire, popped the top A-arm off and then you can pull the shaft out of the differential. that is it!

We’ve gone through several axles. Reluctantly upgrading to aluminum.
