One of my Favorite pens now.
I bought this pen so that I could use shimmer ink. It is wonderful. It is one of my favorite pens that I use every single day. I mean seriously if you can write with shimmer ink, why would you write with any other kind of ink? Also the calligraphy nib is wonderful. It makes my handwriting look like calligraphy. This pen is very easy to clean and even with the shimmer does not clog.

twisbi mini classic

For the price? Can't be beat
My previous experience with fountain pens was in the form of an older Diplomat. I was initially skeptical about this piece of plastic, but I found great joy in using this pen in the last two weeks. It is just a tad top-heavy when posted, and a little short when not. The stub1.1 nib handles like a dream with shin-kai, and I can't help staring at the page while the ink quickly dries. I find myself treating it with kid gloves...like over-tightening the cap may crack the plastic. I hope it passes, because I sure like using this tool.

Awesome writer, perfect size for office work
Fabulous pen. Nice and wet, no lag time. Just plain awesome writing in calligraphy style, makes my writing stile much more cool. And the size is perfect for me (with medium-small hands). Quite small un-posted but o.k. for fast messages, and posted it's just right. I first got the TWSBI 580 and that is an equally great writer however I find it too big (my preferred pen is a classic Mont Blanc).

Love it even more than the full-sized TWSBI I own.
I love this pen. As a matter of reference, I also own a TWSBI 540 - and used it for over a year before I bought a TWSBI mini. I have pretty small hands, and I like to carry a good pen around with me, so the mini appealed all around. I also really like to post my pen cap on the pen while writing so I don't lose track of it. So, while I was always a fan of the 540, I decided to buy a mini because of its size, and for the posting threads on the back of the pen. I was not disappointed. I use a 1.1 italic stub nib on both pens. The nib on my mini is exquisite -- perfectly smooth, nice line variation, and writes a good wet line. As for that postable cap---I actually don't post it very often anymore, even though that was a principal reason for my purchasing the pen. The extra step of unscrewing and rescrewing the cap was enough that I don't bother. And the pen actually feels better in my small hand without the cap - since the lip of the cap tends to rest right on the sensitive fleshy part of my hand. So now I keep my TWSBI 540 and my mini on my desk at all times, ready to go. The 540 stays filled with Noodler's Baystate Concord Grape and the mini has Pelikan Onyx. They never dry out, and their ink capacity is so large I rarely refill.
