Fun away from electronic devices!
Purchased for my teen sons and nephews as gifts, ages 13-19, in total 4 boys. All enjoyed trying to solve the puzzles, even got my 82 year old dad involved. This is a difficult puzzle in which you have to take apart then reassemble the puzzle. It’s beautiful, handheld size, pocket puzzle, as well as durable. Has a nice weight to it and looks like a piece of art. All in all, I will be purchasing more for the younger kids as they get older. Serves its purpose of being interesting, solvable, and spending time away from phones!

Fun puzzle. Not one of the harder ones!

Neat product!
Fun little gadget that makes a great gift addition. A good value for the money, neat design, fun to play with and figure out eith a nice difficulty level.

Puzzling puzzler
Great stocking stuffer- love mind-bending puzzles & this one was a fun challenge to take apart AND put back together- easily fits in hands-metal feels cool & smooth against sweaty palms.

Beware of the puzzle having inexact tolerances!!!
I have dozens of mechanical puzzles, many if them Hanayama design, many of other companies and persons. There are some that are extremely difficult. But, when the reason a puzzle is difficult is because the manufacturing is off and the pieces don’t move the way they are supposed to without thumb-breaking force, that isn’t a puzzle. I tried for hours and hours to solve this puzzle, wondering why I couldn’t do anything at all to get the pieces to move, even a smidgen. So, I eventually turned to youtube and saw the first step in the solution and the demonstrator’s puzzle with loose pieces. So I went to do the first move on my puzzle and finally got the pieces to move using most of my hand /thumb strength to do it. Sorry, no expects a logic puzzle to require brute strength to solve it. Can’t get the item out of the cage? Bending the cage bars isn’t supposed to be the solution, although that works. I am writing this review to warn people if the pieces are super tight and there is minimal movement, they may have a puzzle that has bad tolerances and shouldn't have been sold. It’s way past my ability to return mine, but perhaps others can recognize a problem and get a different puzzle with proper tolerances so they can solve it without having to bend the pieces so they work properly. I gave 2 stars because despite the bad tolerances, after the first step, the puzzle becomes manageable.

I got a different hanayama puzzle for each family member for a Christmas challenge, it was a hit!
