Battery powered units on tracks
Easy assembly, great design possibilities for tracks. Kids love playing with battery operated dinos (cars) both on and off tracks.

A bit larger than illustrated durable toy
Now this is a non motorized plastic train and track and Lincoln logs. But if that is what you need, it is a good, durable toy. The grandson picked this one out and I was afraid it would be too small based on the picture from the box. But when opened it proved to contain more than is shown. I coupled it with an additional Lincoln Logs set so the whole can construct an entire western style town. He loves it!

Tried and true creative toy
Grandson loves his Lincoln logs. They have become a generational thing in family. The kits have become slightly less quality than the set my kids and we had as kids (no longer wooden and not as many long pieces and a difference in the roof). All in all very pleased with the set. He spends hours a day building. Stimulates creativity and fine motor skills. These days fostering creativity in kids has become more difficult due to technology. I bought an add on set at same time. I did the train set. All pieces to both fit in tin. Very pleased with purchase.

Classic toy that still carries the quality it used to
My son loves playing with this set. It's nice to see him interact with his grandpa who was able to bring up memories from the nostalgia this toy brought to his own childhood. The pieces are sturdy and well made. My son likes to build stuff for the sake and destroying it and rebuilding and it is holding up well to his chaotic nature.

It's OK
The quality has definitely gone downhill since my childhood. I'm 25, my daughter purchased this set to go with my old set I gave her recently. As a 6 year old she is happy with it but I noticed immediately that they cheaped out big time on the train part. The tracks don't look good and the switch track no longer switches. The train itself is also much cheaper feeling and looking. The characters look and feel different but they're not bad. The wood seems to be the same or close to it which is good. Overall it's a 4/5 set.

Product good delivery poor
5 stars for the product 1 star for delivery. First box was left outside when there was snow and rain and so I requested a replacement. Second box was left on porch. Second box was not packaged so the gift was exposed and my kid saw right away what it was.
